Many moons ago there was a buzz rumor going around that Led Zeppelin's song "Stairway to Heaven" had satanic messages in it when you played it backward. It had kids all over the world turning their turntables backward listening to see if it was true. Robert Plant expressed frustration with the accusations in an interview: "To me it's very sad, because 'Stairway to Heaven' was written with every best intention, and as far as reversing tapes and putting messages on the end, that's not my idea of making music." The lyrics, written by Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant next to an evening log fire, were inspired by his search for spiritual perfection. A seminal influence was a book on Magic Arts, which Plant had recently read. Guitarist Jimmy Page was a practicing satanist at the time with the teachings of Aliester Crowley. He later bought Crowley's mansion making it his home and an occult book shop to the public.
Led Zeppelin is considered to be the greatest rock band of all time, and their hit song, "Stairway to Heaven" is considered to be the greatest rock-n-roll song of all time. What you are about to witness here is an artistic impossibility. Stairway to Heaven has eight backward messages that each correspond with the messages that are forward.
STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN ******************** Forward & Backward
"buying a stairway to heaven" -> "backwards, hear words sung"
"Your stairway lies on the whispering wind" -> "'I will sing because I live with Satan"
"The piper's calling you to join him" -> "the lord turned me off"
"And it makes me wonder" -> "there's no escaping it"

| "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now, It's just a sprinkling for the May Queen. Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run; There's still time to change the road you're on." | -> | "here's to my sweet Satan. I wanna live it backwards like the Zep who's power is Satan. He will give you, give you 666. I wanna little toolshed where he made us suffer sad satan" |

Most of those statements are self explanatory. The "Piper" is a biblical and occultic reference to satan. The backward statement, "I wanna live it backwards like the Zep who's power is Satan", means that Zeppelin followed Crowley's "backward" magic. Also, in the 70's and 80's all of Led Zeppelin's fans called the band "Zep" for short. "I wanna live it backwards like the Zep who's power is Satan".
Notice that each of the lyrics forward can correspond with the messages that are heard backward. This is astonishing. The band also has a LIVE version of this song, and the live version played backward has not even one backward message; so the backward messages on the studio version are accidental, or at least not rehearsed.
"I wanna little tool shed where he made us suffer sad satan". Jimmy Page purchased Aliester Crowley's mansion. He made it his house, and then into an occult shop calling it the "Toolhouse". The reference to the “tool shed” is an allusion to the “Toolhouse”.
"For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." 1 John 3:8
