The Shroud of Turin
Said to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ; the age of the cloth has been debated, but some of the greatest scientists in the world still cannot explain how this image appears on the cloth, nor can we reproduce a forgery like it even with all of today's technology.
The image of the man you see above is a three dimensional image that was created in negative, meaning that 70 to 80% of it cannot be seen with the naked eye. Only when inverted does the image show graphic detail. Modern technology has proven that the three dimensional properties of the image rule out that it can be any kind of painting. The image is said to be a burned or "radiation projected" image into the cloth. We do not have the technology to burn 3D images into cloth, nor can any artist "paint" in 3D negative onto cloth even today.
