In the early stages of this site, some
disagreed that this idea about a tour of Heaven and Hell would be ok. I didn't
even think there would be a problem too much. It was ground breaking territory.
We searched high and low on the net for the concept. Zero! We are the first on
the entire WWW to create this concept. Aside from some Christian sites having a
single "Hell" page, or a single "Heaven" page, our "tour" gives people a chance
to "role play" as it were, and to choose. And it is powerfully effective. Here's
why: The concept of the journey through heaven and hell came this way: first,
there was only going to be a Hell page, just one. So I went looking for sites
with graphics to use. I came to one satanic site that boasted "sell your soul
online." I checked it out and sure enough, there was a page with a button [hell
flames all around] that said, "to sell your soul to satan press this button." I
was reluctant, but tempted to see what was on the other side of the button! I
pressed it. There was another page with another button that began to scare me.
It said, "you have started down the path to giving your soul to satan, now,
press this button to renounce any faith in God and Christianity." That was it. I
could not do it! A button was messing with me!!! I left that site pronto. But
then the idea came; if a button to sell out to satan would mess with me as a
Christian, then surely a button to sell out to Jesus would tempt the unsaved to
at least look! Especially if there was an art tour of Heaven on the other side
of the button. And once they saw Heaven they would desire truly to go there and
pray a prayer. Godscare does not mean God-scare, it reads Gods-care. Both of
them are to come alive when we read the Bible. How can anyone say that an
unbelieving goth should stay away from the Bible just because the message of
Hell is in it. No, encourage all to read the Bible! Another thing is that Hell
is God's message to the world as well as Heaven. The idea that only the ungodly
can make horror movies about Hell, demons that torment people, satan, and evil,
is absurd. Satanist's and unbelieving goths revel on Halloween night about
demons, Hell, and evil, but the Christian can't say a word?? Shame on us if we
have become so religious that we cannot talk about Hell as much as they
do.....BUT WITH SCRIPTURES! We are not doing anything as goth Christians if
dwell in darkness to the point that we do not shed light from the Bible on the
Devil and Hell that people think is entertainment. The message of
God's Love is only affective with the message of His anger along-side it, then
we will truly see people change, if there really is a darkness, and there is a Devil, and there really is a Hell, it's time that world not be the only
one's allowed to talk about it, make movies about it, joke about it, and end up wanting to
go there! I disagree that the web-site will not be affective. To the contrary, I
think it will succeed in the area where others are failing. It will even prompt
legalist Christians to straiten out their lives for Jesus and Heaven.
