A Euphrates of hate about to flood.
My heart's been frozen by ebony fire,
As my soul slips into the yawning mire.
Visions of my life flash through my eyes;
One closed in sadness, and the other scared wide,
As I fall unto my great demise.
It looks as though this is the end for me
As I plunge deeper, pierced by the glistening sea.

The Wild Goose is coming
I listen for her low cries and wing beat
She sees me, sees my longing heart
Swoops low then flies away again.

I know somehow she wants me to join her
To abandon all and jump into that sky
To trust her, holding me up
In the stream of air left by her wings.

I drew this after talking to a girlfriend about her father and it made me remember fearing my own and I got inspired to draw a girl, helpless in her room with his shadow over her. If you look closely you might see "RUN" hidden in one of the rabbits on the wall, and "NO" in the crack in the wall to her right.
