The Deity of Jesus Christ The following are the words of Jesus Christ only, what He taught about Himself being God in the Trinity. Texts are from the KJV.
Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said,.. Oh Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, the first and the last; I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
For as the Father raises up the dead, and makes them alive; even so the Son makes alive whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment to the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments.
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels
with him, then shall He sit upon the Throne of His glory: And before
Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one
from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And
He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye
blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat:
I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took
me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I
was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer
him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or
thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took
thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in
prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto
them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of
the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall
he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I
was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave
me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye
clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then
shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least
of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into
everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But the scribes reasoned in their hearts, Why does this man speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
I and my Father are one.
If ye had known me, you should have known my Father also: and from now forward you know Him and have seen Him. He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father.
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make our abode with him.
When the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
