| How To Be Saved The following are the words of Jesus Christ only, what He taught about being saved. Texts are from the four Gospels KJV and the NIV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
All that the
Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will
in no wise cast out. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I
say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom
of God. ... Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
...the Son of man must be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
I am the
light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life. If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the
ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth
much fruit. For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. He that
believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
And he that seeth
me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that
whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any
man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not
to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and
receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I
have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have
not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a
commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know
that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak
therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. I am the living bread which came
down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for
ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give
for the life of the world.
