Today many people are believing things about Satanism that have been handed down from a band of Satanists who have attempted to make it a publicly acceptable religion and socially legal in practice. In 1966, Anton Szandor LaVey founded the Church of Satan in San Francisco to this end. He argued that there is no worship of satan as a personage or object of worship, and that there certainly is no human sacrifice. In Satanism, "Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the law", only as long as nobody gets hurt, he argued. But until his movement influenced societies perception on the religion, public knowledge of Satanism equaled the worship of satan in secret ceremonies which involved animal and human sacrifices, even of infants; followed by cannibalism and blood-soaked sex orgies.
Denial of Satan?
Things have changed a bit; or have they? Many satanists today would argue that they don’t believe in the devil at all, that in fact to be a Satanist is really akin to being an atheist with a new set of self indulgency rules and harmless religious practices. Are they telling the truth? Hardly. But it may not be that they are aware of what they are into. The deeper one plunges into Satanism, the darker and more evil its teachings and practices.
It's been said the biggest trick the devil ever pulled is convincing the world he didn't exist. Evil spirits are behind the calculated denial, but the real reason behind satanism denying the existence of satan is that many were and still are turning away from satanism due to the reality of God. Many strong Christians are former satanists. They were finding out the hard way that satan just doesn't stack up to God. A satanist acknowledgment of satan equally required a dead knowledge and faith in God. So if you are an outsider to satanism, they will tell you they do not believe in satan or God. But once you join and progress to the inner circles, you then find out that they DO in fact worship Lucifer proudly. The saying of "HAIL SATAN" and other forms of the worship of the personage remains a public practice in all sects of Satanism, only now some sects throw in a deceptive philosophy of atheism.
“You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44 NIV So when you clearly see the practice of satanists worshiping and saying, "Hail Satan" then talk to them and they deny that satan is the object of their worship, it should be no surprise. Satan is the father of lies.
Murder, Serial Killers and The Satanic Bible Is satanism really so harmless? Thankfully some Satanists of today would not equate themselves to some in the past who have been caught by law enforcement. Just as law enforcement has labels for crimes such as “gang related”, “domestic”, etc… they also have “satanic” in their books for many crimes found in cities. Despite the fact that Anton LaVey explicitly rejects unlawful activity, especially blood sacrifices in his Satanic Bible, the discovery of a copy of his book at crime scenes is often sufficient evidence for investigators to label the crime Satanic. There are too many cases to list, but perhaps the most significant two cases of this kind is first of Stanley Dean Baker. Arrested in 1970 after a traffic violation, he confessed, "I have a problem. I’m a cannibal." Police found a human finger in one of Baker’s pockets and a copy of The Satanic Bible in the other. Baker subsequently regaled authorities and fellow prisoners with tales of his participation in a blood-drinking cult in Wyoming. Another outstanding case of this type was Richard Ramirez, better known as the Night Stalker. A burglar, rapist and sadistic serial murderer who terrorized the Los Angeles area in the mid-eighties, he was captured by civilians on August 31, 1985. A self-identified Satanist, Ramirez had actually read The Satanic Bible. His "calling card" was the inverted pentagram traditionally associated with Satanism, which he left drawn on a wall, or, in one case, carved into the body of a victim. In 1983, he even made a special trip to San Francisco to meet Anton LaVey personally. LaVey was later reported as commenting that, "I thought Richard was very nice-very shy. I liked him." Ramirez would engage in such antics as flashing a pentagram he had drawn in the palm of his hand, shouting "Hail Satan!" Parts of the statement he made during his sentencing even seemed to echo some of the themes of The Satanic Bible: “I am beyond good and evil.... Lucifer dwells in all of us.... I don’t believe in the hypocritical, moralistic dogma of this so-called civilized society. I need not look beyond this courtroom to see all the liars, the haters, the killers, the crooks, the paranoid cowards.... Hypocrites one and all. We are all expendable for a cause. No one knows that better than those who kill for policy, clandestinely or openly, as do the governments of the world which kill in the name of God and country...” (Cited in Carlo 1996, p. 395)
Human Sacrifice?
Is Anton LaVey’s books really the “Bible” for the religion of Satanism? Are there older books? If there are, they take precedence in religious order. WARNING: Do not continue reading if you are easily disturbed by the terrifying facts of satanic practice. Many would be quick to claim that human sacrifice to satan does not happen today. There is a reason the satanic church is in sharp denial of human sacrifice and cannibalism. The real teacher of Satanism is not Anton LaVey. LaVey bows in reverence to the teachings of Aleister Crowley. Crowley, who has been called "the Devil's chief emissary on earth," had a very significant effect on the world of the occult before he died. In Dr. J. Gordon Melton’s book, Biographical Dictionary of American Cult and Sect Leaders, 1986, pages 59-61, Dr. Melton gave this information:
"Aleister Crowley... rebelled against his strict upbringing and earned the label 'The Beast 666' (from Revelation 13-18) given by his mother... Crowley... was accepted into the highest levels of the O.T.O.... the O.T.O. taught a form of sex magic... The O.T.O. had previously created ten degrees, including ones for the practice of autoerotic (VIIIº) and heterosexual (IXº) sex magic. Crowley's new rituals added an experimental degree for homosexual... magic (XIº)...."
Although Aleister Crowley did not call himself a Satanist, he did write the following: "Before I touched my teens, I was already aware that I was THE BEAST whose number is 666." (Magick, by Aleister Crowley, page 130) Francis King informs us that "Crowley began his first serious experiments in sexual magic on the very last day of 1913. These operations were not the normal heterosexual magic of the ninth degree of the O.T.O., they were homosexual magic of Crowley's own devising... " (Sexuality, Magic and Perversion, page 108) On page 113 of the same book, King speaks of the use of a 'goat' in the sexual magic Crowley was engaged in. The goat was eventually used as a 'blood-sacrifice.' Crowley even recorded some of his bizarre "sex magic" (including homosexual acts) in his diaries. As some of Crowley's teaching became known, many people began to consider him the "most evil" man in the world.
In his book, Magick, Aleister Crowley noted that "the highest spiritual working" required the sacrifice of a male child:
"It is necessary for us to consider carefully the problems connected with the bloody sacrifice... the bloody sacrifice has from time immemorial been the most considered part of Magick....”
"It would be unwise to condemn as irrational the practice of those savages who tear the heart and liver from an adversary, and devour them while yet warm. In any case it was the theory of the ancient Magicians that any living being is a storehouse of energy... At the death of the animal this energy is liberated suddenly.”
"The animal should therefore be killed within the Circle, or the Triangle, as the case may be, so that its energy cannot escape.... For the highest spiritual working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim...”
"Those magicians who object to the use of blood have endeavored to replace it with incense....”
"But the bloody sacrifice, though more dangerous, is more efficacious; and for nearly all purposes human sacrifice is the best... The method of killing is practically uniform. The animal should be stabbed to the heart, or its throat severed, in either case by the knife." (Magick, pp. 217, 219, 220, 222)
Why am I sharing all these quotes? One needs to see the clear teachings of Satanism at its origin so they will never be deceived by modern satanic cover up philosophies and lies. The deeper one travels into Satanism, the darker and more evil it gets. LaVey says that: "Satanism condones any type of sexual activity which properly satisfies your individual desires -- be it heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, if you choose… Satanism would not intentionally hurt others by violating their sexual rights. Satanism does not advocate rape, child molesting, sexual defilement of animals, or any other form of sexual activity which entails the participation of those who are unwilling..." (The Satanic Bible, pp. 67, 70)
Anton LaVey tries to down play the idea of human sacrifice by Satanists. He, in fact, claims that they would not want to sacrifice a baby:
"The use of a human sacrifice in a satanic ritual does not imply that the sacrifice is slaughtered 'to appease the gods…. The only time a Satanist would perform a human sacrifice would be if it were to serve a two-fold purpose; that being to release the magician's wrath in the throwing of a curse, and more important, to dispose of a totally obnoxious and deserving individual.”
"Under NO circumstances would a Satanist sacrifice any animal or baby!...”
"When a person, by his reprehensible behavior, practically cries out to be destroyed, it is truly your moral obligation to indulge them their wish." (The Satanic Bible, pp. 88-90)
Al Carlisle, a Utah State Prison psychologist, does not agree with the statement that Satanists would not "sacrifice any animal or baby." According to the Salt Lake Tribune, August 3, 1986, Dr. Carlisle said,
“individuals who are at the cult level have no qualms about killing others. 'I know one guy who witnessed a dozen sacrifices back east,' he said. 'They believe the prime energy in a person is in the blood. They sacrifice the person and believe that those who consume the blood will receive the power.' "
Dr. Susan J. Kelley observed that although,
"devil worship has existed as long as Christianity, modern satanism began as an occult revival in the last century.... because Christianity believes that children are special to God, satanism, which negates Christianity, considers the desecration of children to be a way of gaining victory over God..." (Cultic Studies Journal, vol. 5, no. 2, 1988, page 229)
CONCLUSION:
Satanism is a deceiving religion from the very start of its education. Preying on the minds of the unlearned, satan offers his hand with the temptations of sin and no regrets in a life of rebellion against God and His people. Only thing is, all is not revealed at once until its victims feel locked into delving deeper into more and more evil. Even to the point of secret human sacrifice services of small children. It is documented fact.
Take education from those who have come out of Satanism and know about its graduating rituals. Take education from the many stories in the news of human and even child and infant sacrifices that I have not felt led to report here. If you feel the need, search for yourself. Don't be caught in the lies, get informed. The Devil is real. He only wants to destroy your life and the lives of all. However, anyone who so desires to be free of Satanism can do so only with the help of God. Anyone involved with Satanism inherits demon spirits who are solely assigned to lie to their victims telling them they can never turn back, that it is too late and that evil spirits will kill them if they try. It is a pack of lies my friends, you can leave Satanism as easy as you joined, with free will.
Jesus Christ is Lord. No matter how much they've lied to you about God, He is REAL and has all power over evil spirits, and no weapon formed against you will prosper if the Blood of Jesus is on you. You must realize that you have lied, stolen, lusted, and blasphemed, and broken God's commandments just like everyone else, and are deserving of death and hell. But that is not God's will. He showed His love by sending His Son to die on the cross and pay the fine for all the sins of your life. You broke the Law, Jesus paid the fine, it's that simple. Now, simply repent of your sin and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray and ask Jesus into your heart confessing your sin, and you will know that you are saved. You can be free because the blood of Jesus is against satan!
