Sin
The following are the words of Jesus Christ
only, what He taught about sin. Texts are from the four
Gospels KJV and the NIV
He that is without sin among you,
let him cast the first stone... Neither do I condemn thee: go,
and sin no more.
Repent! for the Kingdom of Heaven
is at hand.
And this is
the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved
darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth
the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be
reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his
deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
The world cannot hate you; but me
it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of
sin. And the servant abideth not in the
house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son
therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
I am the light of the world: he
that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the
light of life.
Behold, thou art made whole: sin
no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
Whosoever therefore shall break
one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be
called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do
and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven.
But if anyone causes one of these
little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to
have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the
depths of the sea.
Woe to the world because of the
things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to
the man through whom they come!
Things that cause people to sin
are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come.
When the Holy Spirit comes, he
will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and
righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not
believe in me.
For judgment
I am come into this world, that they which see not, might see; and
that they which see, might be made blind. If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but
now you say, "We see;" therefore your sin remains.
Ye are from
beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this
world. I said therefore unto you, that
ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he,
ye shall die in your sins.
"Lord, how often shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?"
...I say not unto thee,
Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if
ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in
heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not
forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive
your trespasses.
...but to whom little is
forgiven, the same loveth me little.
And accept you repent, you also
will likewise perish.
I am the living bread which came
down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for
ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give
for the life of the world.
For this is my blood of the
new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
